"The horror of the puppy stores that sell dogs from puppy mills (no matter what they say!) was brought home to us many years ago when we spied a sick puppy in a shop window. Though we rescued that one (who went straight to a breed rescue group), Best Friends taught us to focus on the bigger problem to save thousands. Please. Don’t buy from those stores. Educate your friends. If you want a certain breed, there are breed rescue groups."
